BEYOND THE CHAOS - ROCK’N’ROLL SAVES 

We live in an ever-growing competitive society and try to conform to the so called perfect image. We forget the essential values in our lives: Family, friends and the people who inspire us. Life is short and takes turns. We should live to its full potential and surround ourselves with the things that we are passionate about.

We try to convey a positive message with our new collection. What would our lives be without music? Music gives ourselves the freedom to explore everything we want to. It connects, heals, creates memories and allows us to break through the numbness when we feel hopeless. Rock’N’Roll might not solve all problems, but it gives us a sense of standing up for what we believe in and connect with people and our emotions.

BEHIND THE STORY

I discovered KoRn at the age of 8 in a record store around the corner of my house. They changed my world with the release of their self-titled debut album in 1994 as they developed a trademark style in heavy music. I immediately connected with the raw energy. They’ve given me a sense of “come as you are”. 25 years later I get to create a clothing line in collaboration with their drummer. That’s how life can goes sometimes.

I met Ray about 5 years ago at a KoRn show. We hung out on the tour bus and talked about the music business. He said to me: „There’s a lot of great drummers out there. You can be one of the best musicians in the world, it doesn’t mean that you get the gig. You have to be in the right place at the right time“.

Ray’s words stuck with me. It’s a common denominator to how I approach things in my life. I’ve always been obsessed with being good at what I do through hard work and living up to my high creative standards, that my worth is based on what I do and what I create. Yet the outcome always validates the stepping stones that life puts in front of us. Taking a risk to achieve a goal requires courage to face the fear of failure. Whatever may come, as individuals we grow in the process and become more resilient and confident. The greatest failure is to not try. To truly fulfill our potential and succeed, we must be willing to risk everything.

I’m driven by the passion of Rock’N’Roll music and I like to be around people like Ray. They encourage and inspire me in every way. So I also try to give back - inspire people with my work and encourage them to follow their passion. Opportunities come when you surround yourself with the right people. There will always be disappointment – the key is to dedicate yourself to your passion, give everything you have and take a chance. If you are destined to something good, you will be in the right place at the right time.
